Albe’s Achievement Awards party..

the 6th annual Albe’s Achievement Awards were held last week and what a blow out it was!  Pro riders flew in from across the country, each one bringing at least one smoking hot date and showing the locals what level of girls can be scored,  if you’ve got the right skills.

the catered event went down, as in years past, without a flaw.  while most of the trophies were accepted then promptly broken (as is the tradition) one of the recipients was simply too overcome to part with his prize.  “Turbo” Powers, the head of our wheel building department, was awarded the much coveted “Golden Nipple” award for assembling a staggering 31,900 wheels this year, far ahead of the second place finisher.  that’s right kids...that works out to be about a hundred wheels a day.  soon after this picture was taken he was seen jumping into a limo with a couple slimmys and as they drove off all you could hear was Poison’s “Look What The Cat Dragged In”   blasting them down the dark streets of the big city.   even Turbo, himself, can’t (or won’t) say what happened for the next dozen hours but some reports have him cruising Woodward Avenue, standing in the back of the car (through the sunroof)  with the  accolade above his head like it was the Stanley-freaking-Cup and i, personally, have seen a picture of a hobo drinking champagne from it.  after all the prizes were divided up the bar opened and everyone got loose. John left everyone impressed with his mad bartending skills mixing Martinis so dry you’d think you were drinking baby powder.   DJ Poopindapantz took a break from spinning and Flip’s band “Baggy Pants and the Nit Wits”  tore the place apart!   i thought the walls were gonna come down when they ripped into their cover of Blondie’s “One Way Or Another”.    the place got hot, the sweat was rolling like water off a duck’s back and the floor was so wet we qualified for Tsunami relief funds.  if you weren’t lucky enough to be on the guest list this year make sure you’re down for the next one.  we truly appreciate each and every one of you that made this a wonderful, record setting year at the All Mighty Albe’s BMX-a-go-go...over and out.
