Chicago Road Trip 10/06

So this past weekend we were invited to ride at Jaimy Spritzer's new back yard. If you don't know why that is a big deal then you need to pay attention. 2 weeks ago RedBull Came to Jaimy's house and built the ramp to end all ramps. Ya see Jaimy was the lucky dude picked to host the Redbull back yard build off. You know how we never turn down a chance for a good road trip to we piled a select few into the Albe's bus and headed to Chicago for the weekend.
We left the Detroit area Friday night and made it to the Chicago area around 2am. Below is a list of facts you may or may not want to know about the trip.
- The Albe's bus RULES
- Bars are open till 4am in Chicago
- A cab ride from Elk Grove to Downton Chicago cost about $80
- Rusty Keys could spit in a cops face and somehow talk his way out of jail.
- Shanton and Rusty Keys beat the hell out of the rest of us in C-Low.
- In defending a lady friend Shanton knocked a dude out cold. His mom was proud.
- Wisconcin ladies are a bit crazy.
- When we went out to the bus Sat morning there were women's panties on the rearview mirror.
- Jaimy's new back yard is like Disney World for BMX!!
- Jaimy may be old enough to be your dad (he just may be your dad) but he is a BAD ASS still!
- Jaimy over icepicked the sub rail on top of the sub box out of the mini. It's about 8' high.
- Little John goes really high.
- When the riders voted on the ramp most said that Jaimy's original mini was the best part.
- Brian Vowell is really tall.
- Micah Kranz is really fat.
- Kris Marcum did a 360 tail tap out of an 8' bowl to flat just for fun (see photos)
- Jaimy Spritzer is the nicest asshole in the world.
- The Midget bar was not very fun.
- Sponge walked out of a bar with a stolen keg of beer.
- Sponge spent the night in jail.
- Kris Marcum and Negative Mike almost ended up with him.
- Dane pissed in a hotel dryer.
- Dane made over 250 Text mess. in 2 days.
- The weather over the weekend ruled.
- Negative Mike raced a Viper and won. Marcum says his car is a tuna can with a big motor.
- We rode some shady cement park just south of downtown Chicago that kind sucked but was still fun as hell.
- Some random little ghetto kid at the cement park ran up to Kelly and kissed her. Yuck!
- We stopped at a park In Michigan City In. On the way home. It's next to a Nucular Power Plant.
- The park is sweet and has two Spox jumps (spine box)
- Kris K is a BMX ninja.
- Craig and Dane did an icepick grind around a 20' curved rail on the outside.
- We got back to Albe's at 1am
- Marcum, Shanton and Sponge made it back to their houses in Oh. at about 5am.
- Marcim and Shanton had to be up for work at 6:30 am.
- We shot about 7gb of photos between Kris K. and myself.
