Afro Pat is back from the middle east...

Afro Pat, Mike Andrews, Dan Seig and John Saxton just got back from their stint in the middle east building ramps and doing shows. Click below to see some of their photos and stories.

Is the sun stronger in the middle east or is pat just a redneck??  the answer is yes.

so much crazy shit happened on ths trip .i'm just going to start writing in no particular order.

had a 4hr layover in amsterdam with john saxton. mike andrews and dan seig were supposed to meet us a during the layover at some point. john and i fell asleep on the most uncomfortable benches ever. woke up to an announcement on the loudspeaker "john saxton and pat schreader please come to gate whatever,you are holding up the flight. if you're not here in 5 minutes we will unload your bags and you will miss your flight" we went from dead asleep to full sprint across the airport.

we were like 100 feet from camel racing and a camel fell and knocked over the barricade about 20 feet from john and i. mike andrews was filming and i guess the camel loved being filmed so much he went straight for mike and almost ran him over.

got a ride on my bike from a muslim.

our drivers were "magnoon"(crazy) we were driven around in government cars all week. our drivers drove however they wanted. literally 5 from from the car ahead. one of our driver (Said(sy-eed)) hardly spoke english. He cranked out some arabic music and was singing and dancing the whole time.he ruled.

went to a market to buy rugs.the floors were beautiful marble,the ceilings were beautiful woodwork and silver chandelear. the walls looked like something out of a shady alley in NYC. gates pulled down over the store,locked and the walls looked like a war happened there. which possibly could have happened. all the buildings still look the same as they did 1,000 years ago.if they had to re-build something,they built it to look the same. maybe more modern framing and whatnot. still had all the lookout towers from way back. the building the emporer used to live in is insane. laced in gold, just awesome!

dan seig couldn't hold his poo,he pooed on the side of the road.

we never knew what time it was.we would call like 6 times a day.they hated us at the front desk.eventually we had everyone pranking us and asking what time it was. imagine it in an arabic accent.

Turbans, choppers and Pat riding flatland....

shows were good. something like 100,000 people. some kid showed up on a SHITTY mountain bike and was doing surfers all over the place and some scuffing thing. his tires never left the ground,but it was amazing to see.especially since he really had no reference.

Looks like BMX can be found ANYWHERE!

we got pics in paper and i got an interview in the oman observer.we also did a radio interview. some guys came from the U.K to do a horse show.poor guys.one of the horse died mid show.they were also stunt men for people like johnny depp.they had good stories.
