Albe's Road Trip update # 8

some of us decided to sleep in the parking lot at Mission

We made it to Mission by 7am Saturday. We parked the bus and passed out. We awoke at about noon when the park opened and started to ride. Thanks to Chad Degroot for hooking us up. Part of the crew made good use of the park while the others sat in the bus and relaxed as we were all beat from riding, parting, and not sleeping all week.

Inside the park Jace was doing HUGE wall taps about 7 1/2 feet high on the 8' wall, Bayliss did 270 tailtap to ice pick to back over on the sub rail, Rusty did his first real wall ride on a big wall and got a flat, Vinny did a 540 huricane on the sub rail, Marcum once again amazed everybody (including us) with his skills. Marcum was doing 450's over the bigger hips very smooth and wall taping the sub rail after it all with out the use of cranks again. Squirell and Stevie flowed all over and both were going high on the spine. Sparks once again had some stuff planed but after 5 mins of warming up crashed on a fufanu and busted is head open. It looked pretty bad but was't too bad. We made him stay all bloodied up while he rode just for the cool photos. We didn't get a chance to ride the trails in the area due to the rain that they had a day or two before hand.

We left Mission to head home at about 6pm and are driving right now. It assume it will be an uneventfull 20 hour drive but wih this crew you never know. I hope the bus makes it as we have 3 more people in the bus then when were started. Negative Mike is staying in Florida for a few more days to hang out with a girl he knows so we now have the two people that were in his car and Joe Gall....that's 15 people in here. We plan to turn up the radio and rock out to classic rock and maybe some Event Horizion for the next 20 hours. I'll probably do another update after we get home with some other highlights of the trip and some more photos when we can work through a high speed internet connection and not a cll phone modem.
