the budget yuppie

after the plans were finalized for the "Flip-Trip 2K5" (see previous post for info) i decided that i, too, would take some time off.   my voyage, however, will be much less involved.

first, my plans do not involve rounding up a dozen other people, nor do i plan to purchase a vacation van just for the trip, not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just not the way i roll.   i shopped long and hard for a travel deal and boy did i score.  i've got round trip air fare, 3 nights in a hotel and a rental car for 4 days all for $450...and i've only got 4 lay overs between here and Florida...does that seem like a lot?  i'll be in Orlando the last week end of February touring the offices of Esaych Clothing, UGP and hitting up various other local attractions.  after my long week end in the dirty south i plan to continue my low budget get-a-way by renting a boat and rowing my ass to South America to hunt for tarantulas.  don't expect any up dates from the road, i say "lap top-shmap top"...the only electronic brick-a-brack i'll be carrying will be the "todd-Pod",  and like a couple Shadow pegs i plan to travel lean and mean...packing will be limited to stuffing my back pack with a dozen granola bars and not much else.  if you see me along the way and i seem loopy and confused it'll probably be because i am. shake my hand, slap me on the back,  kick me in the crotch, buy me a drink, get me a lap dance and tell me to give you a sticker. and i'm so low rent that i can't even afford a photo to attach to this post.
