Site Maintenance and TODD LIVES!

Seems the Albe's site has been getting more and more traffic and we out grew our server. This means that we will be switching to a new server on Wed 2/18/04. It is possible that our web site will be down for the day. DO NOT PANIC (bikeguide kids) as all should be up and running normal again on Thur. 2/19/04. Infact we will also be updating some of our shopping cart software to make the site run even faster and with even more cool features. If you need to place an order while our site is down you can always give us a call at (586) 264-1152 as it will be business as usual and we'll be happy to help you. Also even though the rest of the site may be down that day this news page will still be accessible so save the URL of our news page in your favorite places.

now on a side note....
Todd From Albe's is quite the wordsmith. In the post below you will see he "dances" around just telling you he's going on vacation. It seems there A LOT of people out there that just didn't understand the Todd lingo and have read into it the wrong way. SO...the statements below are rumors we have heard:

this list is NOT TRUE:
1. Todd quit working at Albe's.
2. Todd has cancer and has only 2 weeks to live.
3. Todd was driven insane by all the kids looking for tracking #'s 5 minutes after they place their order and has to spend the next 2 months in a mental hospital (this may become true someday)
4. Todd is heading to Alaska to work on a fishing boat.
5. Albe's is shutting down.

now the list below IS TRUE:
1. Todd has not quit Albe's.
2. Todd has not had a real vacation in over 8 years.
3. Todd will be gone no longer than 2 weeks.
4. Todd is perfectly healthy (for a robot)
5. Todd very well could be somewhere in the desert lying on a rock right now as that's all he wanted to do on his vacation.
