Ray's Park and Veteran Jam.

A couple months ago we made our way down to the Cleveland Ohio area and rode the Ray's Mountain Bike Park and found that it is probably the best park I've ever been too.  Shortly after that Ray (owner of Ray's) approached us and asked if we would like to work together with him and have "Albe's BMX Night" at his park.  We were all for the Idea.  Now every Sunday is "Albe's BMX Night" and we (Albe's and Ray's) give away a $10, $15, and $25 gift certificate. Go there as often as you can as not only is it a super fun place it also has a really cool vibe. 

In the past two weekends we have filled the Albe's bus with about 35 riders to make the trip down and we could not have had a better time. Other than Rhesse trip to the hospital the trips were perfect. Rhesse is ok by the way.  He's a tough kid I tell ya.

The Veteran BMX clan put together a fun little party at TRP on Saturday night.  Festivities included a skidding contest, bunnyjump contest and best trick over the new hip.  Round one of the skidding contest was for length. Round two was toboggan skids and the final round was the top two fellows in a skidding death match. Yours truely came out victorious.  Good thing I know of a place i can get a good deal on tires.

The Bunnyjump comp was all Brandon Dosch and a fellow i think is named Marcel (sp)???  Brandon did pretty well and i believe made it to 40" but Marcel (that's what we'll call him) easily had him beat by an inch or two.  Ever tried to bunnyjump over something that high??  Shit ain't easy.  Joe Gall and Dane Wild were to lazy to lift their bikes over the bunnyjump pole so they found different ways to go under it.  Check the photos for examples. 

The Best trick on the hip think kinda fell apart and instead we just watched Stewy, Kris K, and Carmickle kill the park. All three of them are super dialed and fun to watch.  I vote that they all won. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. BUC for holding the event and to TRP for hosting it.  Good people there.
