ever try gettin' sand out of an afro?

you have to case real bad to get a flat spot from a sand dune

our very own "Afro" Pat Shreader called to let us know that he's been deployed to the middle east, and i'm not talking about North Carolina, the real middle east with the suicide bombers and stuff.   

funny thing is that he's not even in the military.  it seems that someone...somewhere...thought it would be a good idea to have a BMX demo in a desert and learned of Pat's course building skills so they blew in an invitation for him to build and ride.   i asked him what he thought of the situation and he said he wasn't sure if he was excited or nervous.  that would my feelings, too.
