All the crew met up at Albe's on Sat night and right off the bat we picked up some shady inflatable girls for the trip from this fellow at the party store down the street from Albe's.
Shanton and Joe Gall were fighting over this one.
We needed to drive through Canada to get to NY so we decided that we would make a stop in Windsor to get loose for a spell. Truns out Marcum had a little too much to drink...is that a cheeto i see??
After leaving windsor we made Sparks drink loots of BooKoo and drive all night to get us to Rochester NY. We reached the boarder back into the USA at about 6am and to our surprize they let us back in the country even though have the people on the bus were passed out and there were blow up dolls everywhere. Turns out the boarder guys had a sence of humor too. We parked the bus in downtown Rochester and met up with Sparks girl Cass as she had flown from Florida to meet us in Rochester. We pulled out the bikes and got our ride on. Check some of the photos below:
This is probably the first time ever Marcum has done a barspin before 9am.
Shanton wall tapped the top of this monster wedge. It's a chore just to get half way up that thing. If we stop by there on the way hope he has plans to ice pick the top.
Even though we had been in the bus all night, got about 2 hours of sleep and decided to go riding before 9am Allen Smalls still dressed up to ride street. Smalls is no joke. he rode hard and did rails and ledges like this WEARING FLIP FLOPS.
This is Kyle Barnhart's first trip with us and he's earning his keep. Hear he fires a rail out on Small's bike that really belongs to Flip. Are you confused yet?
After an hour or two of riding street we decided wee needed FOOD! Went found a place to eat and headrd to the XDreams Park for the FBM Bowl Comp. We got there checked the park out. Said hi to all our old friends and and made lots of new ones. The comp went down and standouts were:
Ryan Sher (HIGH AIRS)
Tony Hamlin (HIGH AIRS)
Shanton Wilson (Peg stalled the rafter and droped 18' feet to death flat..glad he can still walk)
Chester Blacksmith (BADASS)
Clint Reynolds (SUPER SMOOTH BADASS)
Mat Sparks (Flair pocket air)
and lots of other rippers.
Winner of the bowl comp was FBM's own Cameron Wood. He is a TREAT to watch ride.
Here are some photos from the day
Ryan Sher rode really fast and did big airs like the turndown
Cass spent alot of her day out in the parking lot riding flatland. Here she does a trick she calls the smelly Gargamel.
Dane Wild showed up and told how he locked his keys in his car and punched through the windshield to get to them. He then covered the hole with a small piece of plastic and held it down with Albe's stickers. He's been driving around like this for 3 weeks!
During the comp Sparks bent his wheel pretty much in half and was bummed because he had some stuff he wanted to do for Keith Mulligan (Ride Magazine) and Walter P. (Props) Sparks and Turbo fixed his wheel BY RUNNING IT OVER WITH THE ALBE'S BUS! Turbo did a little more fine tuning on the wheel and Sparks was ready to get to work. The box jump at this park is a little over 7feet tall....yes...you read that right. It is BIG! Sparks did a few feeler jumps and whipped it first try. A small croud formed and a few second later Sparks hit a douple whip perfect first try. Everbody cheered because they thought that was his big trick. I laughed and told them he was just warming up. 2 trys later he pulled ANOTHER tailwhip to tailwhip back! Keith got a good shot of it but Sparks wasn't stoked on the landing so he wanted to do it again. A few trys later he hit it again PERFECT. People were STOKED. Great end to a great day. Tomorrow we go to watch a "Pro" Demo Derby to see how they are run and then at night all the Derby teams get to go up against eachother in bowling. should be a hoot. check back!!
