Mike Spinner put on a show for everybody more than once over the weekend.
What a good contest. Good Vibe, good people, good riding and GREAT TIMES. Chad Degroot and Dave Freimuth put on another great comp. Want a quick list of shit that went down this weekend???
The Mini ramp jamp went down on Friday. Instead of naming a winner Kip Williamson and Chad D handed out money to anybody that did a cool trick....in most cases $10 - $20 at a time. How cool is it that a lot of people got paid and not just the top few dudes??? I know Ryan Herbach, Dane Wild and Mike Spinner all came out with about $60 each and Flip made $15 or $20 as well. Highlights of the mini comp was Quinn Semling barspining to fufanu the rail on the back of the sub box, Mike Spinner 540 tailwhiping the 7', Dane Wild 180ing over the saw horse off the side of the ramp, Ben Hucke tailwhip to tail tapping the sub and Dave Brumlow flowing all about riding the ramp like a vert rider.
Unlike most contest weekends Pro was on Saturday instead of Sunday so the Pros could go out and get loaded Sat night and not have to ride the next day. Man those Baco fellows are smart. Catfish had a stripper imported from Ohio just to hang out at the comp. During Pro Qualifying Catfish and Kip were once again giving our cash for tricks but this time "The Stripper" was the one that "handed" you the money in her own special way. Of course she wasn't naked while doing this....she was wearing a bra and g-string!! That lasted about halfway through the pro class when Chad D. was informed the police had arrived and were looking for the stripper. She quickly dressed and vanished in a heart beat. Only at Baco.

There were a lot of riders in the pro class that I had never met or even heard of and they were all WAY good. Like soon to be super pro good. It's amazing how many people are REAL pro bike riders these days. Double tailwhips, front flips, and flairs were stock tricks for many of the class. Half the Ams were doing that shit too. A few things I noticed in pro were:
.
Jimmy Hale's Tailwhip to fufanu on the sub box as well as his 360 tailwhip tailtap to barspin over the spine.
.
Dane Wild doing 540's over the spine to flat while wearing a hotdog suit.
.
Mike Spinner's 360 double whips over the spine, his 360 tailwhip to clicked turndowns over the spine and his double tailwhips to tail taps on the deck of the hips.
.
Chris Gerber killing everything with flairs, flair whips, backflips over the spine and well as 423423 other super hero tricks.
.
Mark Mulville went higher and farther that anybody with more flow that you can shake a stick at. Mark was probably one of the most fun people to watch all weekend. Him doing super stretched supermans while wearing a super man outfit (boy's med) was a sight to be seen.
.
Tony Malouf from Chicago came and KILLED the place at 17 years old with his mom, dad and the rest of his family there watching. Whenever Tony did a cool trick and had to pick his money up from "The Stripper" his family cheered with delight. Once again...only at BACO.
.
Saturday night We all went to the club and had ourselves a damn good time. Profile's Matt Copelan could possibly be the worst dancer in the world and since he doesn't drink has no excuse. Lots of friends were made, stickers stuck, drinks drank, photos shot and myspace addresses exchanged.
.
After the club a small group of us went to hang out at one of the local girls house. After wrecking a few things "accidentally" The local lady was heard saying "don't worry guys...you can't make me mad" Of course that made it a challenge then. Kris K, Flip, Ryan Fudger and Ben Hucke rummaged through her house and found some pretty interesting items to mess with. Some of which I probably shouldn't post here on the Albe's site but if you search myspace hard enough I'm sure they'll show up.
.
Sunday was pretty laid back as we sat back and watched the Ams. I didn't catch too many names but no need to worry. Most of the am class was good enough to ride pro so you probably will be hearing of them soon.
.
After the comp some of us headed to Ronnie B's (owner of Shadow) house for a BBQ. Things got loose and Catfish pulled out his favorite toy.....his ebay bought tattoo gun. An hour later one fellow had a tic-tac-toe board tattooed on his ass and Ben Hucke had an F-Vult tattoo as well as Nina Buitrago's first name tattooed across his toes. Nina is STOKED.
.
The weekend was super good and all I can say is if you have a chance to go to a BACO comp DO IT.
