Hey, check this out, my bike got stolen in Portland last week the night before competition, they never found it, but I've since had a new one built up and filed and insurance claim for it so I'm all taken care of. I guess they liked this little segment so much, they ran it on local portland news all week and eventually people were stopping me in the street and at the airport asking me if I ever found my bike and that they were so sorry it happened in Portland haha. It got way blown out of proportion. Someone even baked brownies for me and sent a card. And a lady at the check in counter at the airport didn't even know what a BMX bike was but recognized me from the segment and tried to upgrade me to first class. It was full.. I guess there's a longer version with the whole interview online somewhere but I haven't found it yet. I just thought this one was entertaining:
