Alright...allready here’s some coverage on The Backyard jam

Pa220082_2_4

Well, one of the better contests anyone could attend is over, but coverage has just begun. That’s right, the 2005 Etnies Backyard Jam in Brighton, England was a stellar event. The contest was filled with nothing but the best riders and fans the industry could provide. The 3 day event started off with the most exceptional qualifying runs, and the craziest final runs in which all the good stuff went down. And luckily for us the parties started the second we got there, and they didn't stop.

Even though the contest consisted of too many riders that were way to good for they own good, a few defiantly stood out above the rest. For instance, Van Homan with this tailwhip to vert wall transfer that turned out picture perfect (from someone Else camera, since this one doesn’t give it justice). Mark Mulville with the highest and most held tuck no-handers over the box. Chris Doyle doing what he does best, flowing the park and throwing the smoothest 360 and tailwhip combos.…Kye Forte...Badass…is all I'll say. Mike Aitken with the highest most clicked 360 lookbacks anywhere, and a crazy wall ride to 180 out. Max Vincent....also a Badass. Dave Otsato with this ridiculous foot jam tailwhip on the Etnies version of Beringers shed. Morgan Wade pedaling as fast as he could at every ramp in the place. He was good for too many 360 variations to list, flairs and super Pa230318_1 high airs that made every other trick look lame. And last but definitely not least, the man that cleaned house Gary Young with the fastest smoothest and most jam packed runs. I could list everything he did, but that would just spoil all the fancy coverage and pretty pictures all those video and paper magazines companies are going to show you two months from now. But anyways, Gary stoked the crowd for the second year in a row and he surely deserved it. Here's a still pic from a video of Gary transferring into the mile long curved wall ride to tailwhip transfer out…..Very Cool. And as if you Internet junkies didn't already know, the top ten finishing riders were: Gary Young, Morgan Wade, Ben Hennon, Chris Doyle, Kye Forte, Mike Aitken, Max Vincent, Sergio Layos, Baz Keep, and Dave Osato.

But enough with the riding…we aren’t a magazine or video company. Were a mail-order, we’ll leave the good pictures and footage up to those guys. But, one thing we will cover that they won’t is the night life. UH-HUH. That’s right! The party scene was just as big as the contest scene, and it was a whole lot more NC-17 border line R,....S T L N  can I but a vowel Pat...never mind, you know what I mean. The first night.....well….every night we were there was an experience of its own. It seemed like the entire roster of riders and people affiliated with the event was staying at the same joint around the corner form the contest venue. This meant that the bar attached to the hotel was no longer in their control. With the bubbly stuff flowing and the entire place getting there groove on, you know chaos was bound to happen and of course a little did. Check out a few of the "more appropriate" pictures for your entertainment.
