Albe's 06' Road Trip details

Well, after a bunch of planning, e-mails, phone calls and myspace messages the Albe's 06' Road Trip has been pretty much planned out. This trip should include 18 to 20 people filling the new Albe's bus and Negative Mike's car to the hilt!  Read more about the trip below.

We do not have a set schedule so I'm not sure what days we'll be at each park / beach / party.  If you are interested in coming to hang out with us just keep checking back here as we'll be trying to update the site each day or so with photos and stories of our stops or you can e-mail us at flip@albes.com .  Come hang out with us, feed us pizza and beer (the over 21 guys of course), introduce us to your lady friends and show us your Kodak courage. Maybe we'll make you famous. Below is a list of planned stops in no particular order.

Atlanta Ga.

Here we will be meeting up and staying with a fellow named Talem.  Talem's place sounds like the place to be in the Atlanta area.  Though I've never met Talem I'm told by many he is a great guy as well as an incredible rider.  I guess that comes easy when you have a skate park in your back yard.

Daytona Florida

Another stop we plan to make is in the Daytona Florida area. Last year we hung with some locals there that were really cool so we plan to stop by their place and say high and maybe ride our bikes a little.

Merritt Island Florida

We decided that Paradise FunPlex Skate Park in Merritt Island Florida had to also be a stop. Last time I was there was for a Hoffman Comp about 6 years ago.  The park was great then and I'm told even better now. Check out their site at the link below. **BONUS FUN FACT** After the Hoffman comp mentioned above everybody went to a club down the street from the park where I proceeded to get drunk and tell Gary Ellis he was a sissy to his face. I'm lucky to be alive today.

Miami Florida area

In the Miami area we are staying with a fellow that seems to be making a name for himself these days named Mike Spinner.  He's going to show us around his hood and take us to a few parks including the Brian Piccolo Skate Park. We went there last year and watched Dane Wild, Mat Sparks, Jimmy Hale and the locals kill the place.  Can't wait to see what's going to go down this year.

Tampa Florida

Skate Park Of Tampa (S.P.O.T.) is probably one of the most famous skate parks in the world.  It's even in some of the kooky video games out there so we figure it's a must to stop there.

Clearwater Florida

Probably the biggest and most original parks in Florida is 688 Skate Park in Clearwater Fl. Last year Sparks did his first 360 Double Whip over their box jump and if he can still walk by the time we get to that park I'm sure he'll learn something new on that box again.

Orlando Florida

We are all looking forward to riding Chad Degroot's new park in Orlando called Mesh.  Everybody loved Chad's old park, Mission, and we here Mesh is even better.  You can bet we plan to stop by there.

Part of the idea behind these trips is to tighten our scene up by taking people that normally don't hang out together, pile them in a bus for 10 days and hope that they will all become good friends.  Last year we had great success. I expect this year to be no different and with the crew going this year the riding and good times should be incredible. 

Once the trip is underway be sure to check our site each day for updates to read. You may catch a photo or two of drunken debauchery, beach bodies and maybe some BMX. Like you have anything better to do!
