ALBE'S BMX CONTEST...
Well, for many years now we here at Albe's have wanted to do a big contest and although we have had a few good parks in the area none were really big enough to house such an event. Now the guys over at the Modern Skate Park (formerly Van's) have agreed to let us have the shin dig at their place.
The Contest will be April 10th 2005 at the Modern Skate Park in Novi Michigan.
Pro = $50 entry
AM = $30 entry
Best Trick = TBA
Spectator fee = $4
Doors open at 10am and the contest will start at noon. If you want to come the night before and ride the park the guys at Modern have also arranged a BMX session Saturday, April 9th from 9pm until midnight for $7.
This should be a pretty big event as we'll have a bunch of sponsors sending in prizes for the AM class and we'll be doing at least 100% payback in the Pro class. This means that if 30 people enter pro at $50 each the purse will be AT LEAST $1500. The comp will be run in jam format as that seems to be the preferred method these days.
If you are under 18 and your parents will not be with you you WILL NEED to have a waiver signed and notarized to enter the comp. You can download Modern's waiver at the link below.
