Demolition Derby trip update # 2

Good night last night, but we lost the pictures. today we woke up. we got out act together and our bags packed. we headed out to the van and loaded up the gear. we then went to the border and waited in line to get back into our own country. no problems. we headed to pizza hut and sparks spit his gum out to eat some pizza. he did want to set the world record for chewing a canadian peice of gum the longest in the US but he had more important things to do. eat, load up, and drive to rochester.

We get to the hotel and find out it is worth exatly $56 a night.  Our half rate air conditioner makes tons of noise and the room is 1/3 the size of last nights. Its all about the BMX though.  We headed to zack's (owner of kink bikes) house and hung out before we went to see a derby.  If dave mirra would have dropped a bomb on zack's house he would have no compitition in the x-games this year.  Tons of super good riders. whitton, kimbrough, sher, john jennings, matt berringer,  mat sparks, gary young, jim bauer, allen cook, steve crandal and a ton of others. Zack had it set up so we would be going to watch a derby and see how they work before our main event on wed. we went to watch the wrecker derby and were amazed. this is serious shit! cas ontop of cars, cars on fire, car parts rolling around, CRAZY!  joey talked some derby girls into helping us with the car tommorrow, flip had to sign autographs for young girls, sparks made new "sales rep" friend and the others all got loose. It was insane and i think most of us felt out of place. for once we weren't the most white trash people there. One girl left on a stretcher(she was okay) and one guy about lost his head and we saw many a mullet.  then after the main event 25 of us headed off to chilis.  we ate and talked about more BMX crap than we probably should have. Flip and Ryan Sher talked about Trans Ams for a spell then Alan Cook picked up the Albe's check because we drink the most 7-11 mountain dew slurpies.

Somehow our camara shit the bed and lost over 100 photos.  this all we had left from the derby we watched monday night. too bad too because we had some crazy photos.  can you name all the drivers in the photo above in order??

we came back to this shady hotel and then headed out street riding with staff mail order guys and seth kimbrough.  we found some really really good spots but we definatly need to go back in day time for most of them. Dane did grinds and 180s, Seth pretended he was in a video part, staff guys ripped with rails, whips, and stories of scotty cranmer doing tricks.  yea, really good spots and the police dont care if you are grinding rails.  we came back to hotel and you are getting this update.  i am going to go to bed! come watch us wreck cars.

Wallride to hop over the rail.  no runway and shady as hell but Dane stuck it good after a few tries.

seth kimbrough is REALLY good.  ice pick on a 4 foot rail out of a 7' STEEP bank.  He tooth picked it a few times too for fun.
