Albe's Road Trip update #7
Sparks is every young girl's dreamy super man
Friday we woke up at Forest's house and it was sunny but semi cold. When I say cold I mean maybe 65. The wind did make it feel colder though. We had to wait for Mike, Dane and Bayliss to get back from Profile. We were all supposed to go too but Mat Copelan had to leave work early and most of the crew had no chance of getting up early enough so just "Team Clean" went.
Once they got back we had to go to Clearwater beach even thought it was cold as we had to deliver the girls "the idahoes" that were picked up the night before at Ybor back to Clearwater. We called them the Idahoes because they were from Iowa. Does that make sense? Once we droped them off we went to the beach. It was nice but COLD and windy. We tried to make the best of it but decided it was no good and went to go ride Central / 688 skate park. The Idahoes called and said they wanted to watch us ride so we brought them along too. Turns out there was a skate demo the same day but the people running the joint told us we could ride for a few hours before the demo started.

There was a keg of nector in the trailer for those who wanted to get sweet.
By the time we got all 19 people in the bus and to the park we only had about 45 mins to ride. the crew went to work fast. This was the first place we rode with a real box jump and the crew used it up. Allen was 360ing and tailwhiping the big box with no pads on like it was nothing. This was Joe Gall's first chance to ride on the trip and he made good use of the box. Super high tables and one footed x-up's. Dane Wild did another amazing ice pick grind. Super slow down a long ledge like it was a manual. The wild man of the night though was Sparks. He came on this trip in search of the perfect box to triple, yes i said triple whip. He flowed the park real fast and his first jump on the box was a tail whip over the Idahoes. The Allen looped over the Idahoes after a little coaxing from the crew. Sparks then decided he was going to warm up and fired out a bunch of double tailwhips in a row like he was doing an x-up. Then he did a 360 whip over it and was so stoked on how it felt he decided it was time to learn 360 double tailwhips. After 2 or 3 tries he fired it out and a celibratioon was in order. We ran out of time and the people running the park said we had to go but if we wanted to we could come back after 10 as they were having an all night session. Sparks decided that he was going to finish what he started on that box so we booked a room on the beach and went out to eat.
