Ok..here we go....Albe's Army recruitJarred the "e;Aardvark"e;recently took it hard and from what we are told busted his jaw. if you see him anywhere (riding or online) tell him to get well soon. Albe's team rider and class clownMat Sparkshas found himself riding forFly bikes / System Cycle.This means that Mat is now riding a Pantera frame and will probably be going to more contests and winding up in more magazines so keep an eye out for this kid.Afro Patcalled us the other day to tell us he was atFuzzy'shouse building him amini skatepark in his yard. according to Pat fuzzy plans to try to "e;make the cut"e; in a few street contest this year. good luck to him. Our boy out in Utah (Kenny sanders) wanted to let us know thatMikeAitkenand his trans am have challengedFlipand his trans am to a race. Too bad they will probably never be in the same place at the same time with their cars. In other news did anybody notice an "e;Albe's influence"e; in any of the ads in the new props?? just look for one of our "e;mascots"e; doing what we all know he does in the background of one of the ads. Last month there were a few local contests went down and both turned out quite well. The contest at the Airborne skate park was a gravity games qualifier for armature and Albe's localCraig Henekewon and will begoing to the gravity games all expenses paid. Albe's ownKris Marcumcame in a very closesecond place. Kris then decided to enter another Gravity games contest to try to qualify and once again came in second place. hahah! guess it just wasn't meant to be. The other contest in this area last month was in K-Zoo. The contest had a big turn out and winning pro wasJeff Degrise. Not only did Jeff have the best run of the day he also won thebest trick contest. Flip pretty much made Jeff do afufanu on the top of the eight foot tall wall ridejust so he could get the photo. if you ever get to see Jeff ride in person you will not be let down.L-Town Danecut his nasty ass hair off and now looks even more like a goon..he's still killing it on his bike though. Soon maybe we'll have some video of that ripper on the Albe's site.Todd from Albe'swent to go see the "e;Giant Colon"e; exhibit in Detroit and was asked to leave after raising a ruckus....isTodd a giant polyp??Here is an odd story of weird random things in BMX in our local area....a week or so ago Flip was on his way to ride some trails a few miles from his house and happened to glance into a Wall-Mart parking lot and noticed theGT Air showtruck / ramp. thinking it was odd that there was a BMX show in the Albe's hood and nobody knew anything about it Flip went to investigate. When Flip walked up to the truckAdam StriebyJumps out to shake his hand. Adam Asked Flip what he was doing on this side of the county Flip let him know that he lived like 3 miles away. Adam then asked "e;Aren't you from Michigan?"e; Flip informed Adam that he was in Michigan. hahah! I wonder if Adam knows that he was doing GT shows even though he is the big named pro on Redline??? The new localindoor skate park Focus, has been shut down by the fire dept. until they can fix some problems with breaking fire codes.Dirty Gary(manager of Focus) says the park SHOULD be reopen again by Sept 15th.
